Delivering improvements for residential (manufactured home) parks
We’re delivering improvements for residential (manufactured home) parks to address consumer concerns about:
- site rent increases
- unsold manufactured homes.
This is part of our commitment in the Queensland Housing and Homelessness Action Plan 2021–2025.
As the first step to deliver these improvements, we’ve prepared an issues paper (PDF, 752.76 KB) which outlines the concerns stakeholders have raised about site rent increases and unsold manufactured homes. We’re seeking community input on whether we have accurately identified and described these issues, or if there are other issues that should be addressed.

You can have your say by:
- responding to the consultation questions in the issues paper and providing any other feedback by emailing MHconsult@chde.qld.gov.au. Submissions close on 15 August 2022.
- taking a survey to help us understand your experience of living in a residential park. This survey is for current and former manufactured home owners, and closes on 15 August 2022.

We’ll use the information gathered from the survey and feedback on the issues paper to better understand the issues affecting residential parks and to identify potential improvements. We’ll seek community input into any potential improvements at a later stage.
Through the Queensland Housing and Homelessness Action Plan 2021–2025 we're also improving Queenslanders’ access to:
- pre-contractual advice about residential (manufactured home) parks and retirement villages
- timely and consistent decision-making to help them resolve housing issues and disputes.
We’re currently considering the outcome of a survey on consumer experiences with pre-contractual advice and dispute resolution in residential parks and retirement villages.
