As Queensland prepares to welcome the world for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Night-Life Economy Commissioner has completed an independent report to enhance Queensland's nightlife economy for everyone, everywhere.
Moonside: The Queensland Night-Life Economy Commissioner's Report 2026 (the report) provides a roadmap of recommended short-, medium-, and long-term actions to support a more vibrant, safe, and economically thriving nightlife sector.
The report responds to the Commissioner's statement of expectations, delivering practical and actionable recommendations to strengthen the nightlife economy across the state.
Government response
The Queensland Nightlife Economy Action Plan 2026–2032, the Queensland Government response to the Commissioner's independent recommendations, was provided on 29 July 2026.
