Congratulations to the first cohort of the First Nations Digital Careers Program!

The First Nations Digital Careers Program is being delivered by the Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group in partnership with Microsoft.

The Program is aimed at First Nations People interested in either kickstarting or transitioning to a career in the digital industry.

The trainees recently wrapped up a 12-week digital skills bootcamp with a special event to celebrate their achievements.

At the end-of-bootcamp event, we heard from the program trainers and the trainees themselves about what they’d learnt and how their confidence in the digital field had grown.

With improved skills in the Microsoft Office suite, design thinking, multimedia and cyber security, the trainees have now commenced their work placements with QGCDG and Fujitsu where they will put their studies into practice and receive on-the-job experience.

Placements for the 2023 Program are now open with up to 100 placements available for First Nations People per year.
