Stay Connected Fund

Applications for the 2022 Round 1 of the Stay Connected Fund have closed.

The $2.5 million annual Stay Connected Fund provides up to $150,000 to community organisations who can improve community connections for vulnerable Queenslanders.

The fund supports one-off projects that build connection between Queenslanders and reduce feelings of social isolation and loneliness.

The Stay Connected Fund is a key initiative under Queensland’s Housing and Homelessness Action Plan 2021–25.

Purpose

Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. For many people though, it’s difficult to establish or re-establish social connections. The resulting feelings of isolation and loneliness can be debilitating.

The COVID-19 pandemic has further reduced some people’s social connection, making them even more vulnerable to isolation.

When people do feel included and connected, their sense of belonging can positively impact their health, wellbeing and quality of life.

The Stay Connected Fund targets organisations with ideas and initiatives that aim to help people connect and belong.

In 2022, the fund will support ideas and initiatives helping women aged 55 years and over.

Eligibility

Organisations and individuals over 18 years of age with an active ABN are eligible to apply.

Applicants must deliver the funded services in Queensland and connect services to the housing and support hub for older women.

We encourage applications from organisations that establish partnerships with local businesses to deliver initiatives.

Applications closed on 14 October 2022.
